Shelly Burkhart is a passionate entrepreneur who established SHINE with a vision of community, wellness, and meaningful movement in mind. Living on a picturesque bison ranch near Fairfield, TX with her husband Kelly and two beloved Australian Shepherds, Shelly thrives in the beauty of nature and enjoys spending time outdoors on her property. Shelly is the proud mother of three children - Hudson, Aiden, and Bryn. She loves to draw upon the beauty and serenity of nature through a long walk on the ranch in her free time.
Shelly is a certified Peak Pilates instructor. She developed a passion for Pilates over 10 years ago with her own individual practice. Upon her move to Fairfield from Houston, she felt called to share her experience in Pilates with others. Shelly genuinely loves teaching and guiding others in their Pilates practice. It is her joy to see the impact a Pilates practice can have on a person’s mind body and soul.
Another passion which Shelly pursues is her practice in Spiritual Direction. Through her training with the Haden Institute, Shelly brings a valuable approach to clients who are on a journey to better connect with the unseen nature of God’s Spirit and to better understand their true “Self”. Dana’s journey with Pilates began in a deeply personal way. After a car accident left her with a back injury, Dana turned to Pilates as part of her recovery. Through consistent practice, she regained full health and discovered a true passion for the strength and balance Pilates brings.
As a mom of four daughters, Dana understands the importance of a supportive, welcoming space where everyone can focus on their well-being. Her goal is to help you find that same sense of empowerment and renewal she has found through Pilates.

Meet Janis, our afternoon and evening instructor. Janis has a true heart for our clients and always strives to deliver impactful, fulfilling sessions. She has a talent for blending her knowledge of Pilates with a creative approve in order to incorporate the present needs and goals of her clients into her class material.
Janis is a proud wife and mother of 3. While Janis’ drive typically keeps her on the go, she does enjoy spending what little free time she has at home with her family. She also loves country music and appreciates a good laugh!
Whether you are a new client or a longtime regular, Janis will make you feel welcome and encouraged here at SHINE. She is always looking for ways to enhance her instruction and class content, and she values a mind-body connection through movement. Her approach to Pilates is intuitive and functional, leading clients to see meaningful improvement in their body’s strength and ability in day to day life.

Meet Amy, who will now be assisting the SHINE team with all things social media, content creation, and marketing. An established member of the Fairfield community, Amy brings a genuine love for local promotion with her to this position.
Amy approaches both work and life with a curious and creative spirit. She is always aiming to hone her skills in the art of storytelling through various mediums, and she is excited to capture the story of SHINE and share it with others.
